Kelsey Nelsen

Kelsey was born into the black dirt and meandering rivers of Wisconsin to a pair of parents whose hippie hearts and
encouraging souls set her down the path of exploration and adventure. Her good strong hands have been painting,
building, baking and sewing ever since. Her sister and she spent countless hours in the back of a series of VW camper
vans, seeing the world from country roads and mechanic shops; an experience that shaped the way she thinks about
journies and life in general. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, a
special city in love with puppets and biking, peoples with traveler punks, organic junkies, and solid midwestern
families. Since leaving Minnesota, she has traveled around some, but mostly, she has been making pots in the rolling
red-clay hills of Central Virginia.
