CO-DIRECTOR and Elsewhere founder George Scheer is a theorist, artist, and organizational leader who

explores creative communities as political constituencies. George’s departments include finance, development,

education and archiving. Sylvia’s grandson, George leads Elsewhere’s historical society.

 

He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication/Performance Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, and holds an MA in Critical Theory

and Visual Culture from Duke University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Political Communications.
